Dear Dr. Sanders:
I hope you will forgive my writing to you in this way since
I can readily understand how difficult the past few weeks
have been for you. I, nevertheless, feel the urge to voice
my appreciation for the kind and considerate way in which
you dealt with me over the years.
I would also like to say that I sincerely admire you for
the courageous way in which you handled this crisis. I think
it was your greatest moment. I know many people share my
opinion.
